What were the factors that made you choose NAA to pursue your degree education?
The two key decision factors for me to choose NAA are namely the prestigious status of both Ngee Ann Kongsi & University of Adelaide; and the unique structure of the program delivery over two intensive teaching blocks from Friday to Sunday. It gave me the confidence of studying at an internationally recognized Masters programme, enabling me to focus on studies outside work.
Can you share with us why you chose this programme?
As an IT Manager, Project management is an essential part of my job to facilitate change and add value to the organization. By choosing MAPM, it allowed me to acquire the skill and knowledge which played an important role in executing my responsibilities and enhancing my work capacity. Another reason why I chose MAPM was because it offers a systematic and comprehensive approach to impart theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Through that, it helped me discover my potential and push past my limits.
Are there any modules in particular that stand out? Why?
Whilst I enjoyed most of the modules, “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” by Prof. Noel Lindsay had the highest impact on me. I was greatly inspired by his passion to teach and his rich entrepreneurship experience sharing in class.
How has this programme benefitted you and how is it relevant to your current job?
By equipping me with the right knowledge and skills, the programme allowed me to further fine-tune the management of simple to complex projects, especially in today’s dynamic society. Not only that, I was able to apply the critical thinking and management skills I learnt which aided me in my personal and career growth.
Describe your learning experience in one sentence.
Overall, this course has been an enriching and enjoyable learning experience for me.
Would you recommend this programme to others and why?
Yes, I will definitely encourage others to consider this program. The curriculum will provide you with a deep understanding of projection management concepts and equip you with advanced practical skills to enable you to excel in your career.
What are your lecturers like and how do they enhance your learning?
The lecturers have strong academic background with vast knowledge and experience. They are enthusiastic in supporting my learning journey and the interactive teaching methodology helped me to apply the theoretical knowledge in real life application.

This is crucial in group project work in this course. Substantial coordinated effort is required to work together as a team to deliver a good group assignment or presentation.

The unique program delivery for this part time Masters is suitable for working personnel pursuing higher education. The lecturers are mostly from University of Adelaide; and they are passionate, knowledgeable, experienced, committed, professional and approachable. Staff in NAA is also friendly and supportive.

The award allows me to continue to further my studies to continuously increase my knowledge, expand my skills and maximize my personal and professional growth.
